Will my puppy still remember me2007-11-25 2:56:38

Hi, me and my girlfriend got a 3 month old chihuahua almost two months ago and I am now getting sent overseas for at least a year will my puppy still remember who I am when I get back.

I have probably spent the most time with her since we got her and been the one training her mostly. So what do you all think??

I think that's old enough to remember. It might take a couple of days to fully adjust when you get back. But dogs remember scent and some visual cues about people.

I gave a 3 month old Great Dane pup to my cousin. Didn't see her for 2 years. When I had to take her back because my cousin was pregnant with triplets. She remembered and adjusted very well back into my family.

So yes she should.

Yeah, she should remember you. Like someone else already said, it might take her some time to get use to you being home again, but she should remember you.

Anything is possible. Come home with hotdogs in your pockets and a happy squeaky voice. I am sure she will love you regardless if she remembers.

YES, she will remember, my son went away for 2 years and we used to let our chihuahua listen to his voice on loud speaker- she was all over him when he came home-no prob. enjoy,l love the breed.
