Answers:OK, the best cattle dog you can have is the Australian Cattle dog, populate coled Blue Heller! You Asking about your dogs, The crosses sometimes works very well, they are smart that pure breeds, they has more gens working together, they are resistances to a lot of problems, so i thing that the best dog that you can use is the the Australian Shepperd's.
The pure German shepherds they are very good working dog and ease to train.
Go with the Aussie - It's what they're built for!
Australian shepherd is best for cattle.. that's what they use them for, down in Oz..
pure bred australian shepherd or border collie from working lines..
the australian shepherd was bred for that use that dog
probably the Aussie/German Shephard. Aussie are bred to heard sheep and cattle. I really suggest you just take them all out (one at a time) and see how they do.
Either aussie,wolf,or coon hound
the german shepherd they are great herders.
I would suggest an Australian Cattle Dog a/k/a Blue Heeler. They are specifically used for hearding cattle and sheep. I'd look around at local humane society's too, sometimes you can find them quite cheap! Honestly out of the dogs you have, I wouldn't suggest any of them.
I would use one of the German Shepherds. They should be tough enough to use on cattle.
Shepherds are a lot different to train then a Border Collie. I personally think using an E collar on them works the best.
A good idea would be to find a herding instructor near you that is used to working loose eyed herding breeds that can help you get a good start with your GSD.
Good luck
Adopt a Border Collie or Australian Shepherd. If you're in the US, you can go to http://www.petfinder.com and adopt a dog up for adoption.
