Wont some advise off someone who owns an english bull terrier2007-11-25 2:56:58

i have a 7mnth old female english bull and am now thinking of having another rottie we had a beautiful one but unfortunatley had him put dwn thru 2 a seroius illness i miss him alot but wud now like another im just alittle worried at how my english wud be with another pup and wud it b best 2 have ***** or dog with her ive heard people say that its best 2 have an english bull on its own or 2 the same breed help does any1 own an english bull and rottie 2gether and is she alittle 2 old 2 introdce another pup 2 her shel b 8 mths soon id like sum advice pls thank 4 all ya answers much appreciated all

This question isn't about the breed of dog,it's simply about how well socilised is she?If you have socilised her well with other dogs of all sizes and she's completly happy in there company then regardless of breed she should accept another puppy.It's always best to get the oppisite sex of your dog,as there more compatible but please make sure your ebt is spayed!!It's a myth that bull breeds hate other dogs and they can't live with another breed...with proper socilising and rearing a bull breed can live with any other pet.Good luck.

English Bull Terriers should be the ONLY pet.

Your girl is still a puppy. When she hits maturity, things change at about 18m. I would just have her as the only pet. Get her spayed.

My puppy (6 months) is half EBT, half border collie and she absolutely LOVES other dogs of all and any breed, age, gender! I'm considering getting another puppy and the trainer said I must get a male (cut, obviously) as females sometimes don't get on well together, but I wouldn't say the breed itself is a problem. My friend has a Bull Terrier & a Collie, & until recently a Lab too. Another friend has 2 Bull terriers. They get on fine.
