Would u do this
cut off alot of hair off your german shepherd so you can give her a good bath???
Answers:Not unless she had a medical condition that required medicated shampoo actually come in contact with the skin, no. If you shave your german shepherd, the fur may not grow back normally. The german shepherd coat is designed to protect the dog. The undercoat keeps them warm in cooler weather and helps to keep them cool in hot weather too. The guard hairs help keep the coat water resistant and protects the skin from the elements (rain, sun, thorns, etc).
If you want to give her a good bath and really get down to the skin, go buy a rubber comb/brush. You can find them at any pet supply store (the zoom groom is a bit more expensive, around $8-12, but I have found that it works really well on my german shepherd's somewhat plush coat) or at any farm supply store (you may have to look in the horse and tack section...usually you can find a rubber curry comb for about $2 there). When you shampoo your dog, use the rubber brush to work in the shampoo. Rubber brushes also work wonders on a dry dog to pull out loose hairs.
No. You can give your dog a ''good bath'', despite the length of hair.
They aren't that long coated, so there's no reason to ''trim/shave'' the fur.
NO,are you nuts, shepards don't need haircuts. Just bathe her.
Don't be silly, get a good grooming brush and bush the dog, never cut a German shepherds hair. Check with you local pet store, and I sure the will have information. Also you could take your dog to a groomer, they are not that expensive.
No dont do that. You can give your dog a good bath without cuttin off his hair. Or if iti's too much for you take your pet to a groomer.
NO, that would make it freeze to death, the poor thing, to give your dog a good bath, you should first getyour dog wet, then lather the dog extreemly well, but don't leave the shampoo in for it will cause the oils to be stripped from the skin, then rinse, rinse, rinse. Afterwards, brush her for a while until the fur is nice ans clean an smooth, brush the hind quarters really well because that is where the dirt and dead hair gets trapped easily.
I don't know
Nope, can't say as I would
No Way. She wouldn't look like the beauty she is. Bathe her if she needs it but brushing does wonders.
no.please dun do so.
you can give him a good bath without doing so, eventhought this will take a long time for you the bathe him.
but does it matter how long you will take?
the important thing is to let you and your dog enjoy each others company.
if you are scare that his fur wil entangle when you bathe him, brush his fur first. when bathing him, shampoo him and give him some massage on his hind legs, his back, his chest and the part behind his ears, he will love this. my shepherd love this too.
i will only shave my son(shepherd) when he have signs of skin problem.
