Would you spend $550 for a cell phone for your dog2007-11-25 2:57:04

I saw an ad in a magazine yesterday for a dog cell (on a collar) that calls you if your pooch leaves a certain area, or someone can use to call if he/she is found. I think this is incredibly stupid, and confirms what I've been saying for years-that people now worship their pets, especially in the West/America.

I spent $50 on a microchip, and the council, the uni or the vet can call if the find her... She seems cool with it.

What happens if people start stealing pets to make long distance calls??

I guess people need another way to burn money on their accessory pets. There's only so many little jumpers they can wear and so many manicures they can get. It's mobile phones or body piercings now. And the RSPCA would crack if someone got a tongue stud on a poodle or six nipple rings on a dachshund...

Excuse me but alot of cultures love their pets. I find this to be very stupid and would never purchase this device.
