If we know to keep medications put up out of the reach of young children, shouldn't we do the same with our animals!!!??? For the ones that didn't know this, This a WARNING keep all medicines out of reach of animals, as well as children!!!

Answers:

Agreed. A co-worker (teenaged girl) at the doggie daycare facility where I am employed, has a shar-pei who ate a whole bottle of anti-depressants she left on her night stand. Dog survived; her vet now has another year of student loans paid off...

You'd think a "dog person" would know better, but then again she was a depressed teenager...the youngest in her family, no younger siblings or toddlers in the home.

Dogs are probably better than toddlers at getting the child-proof caps off.

A timely warning, thank you.

Very true
yes I have my kitchen safe guarded & bathroom for all my pets great advise
yes
Yeah its common sense if a dog can get to it then it will get into it and it dont know any better
I totally agree. Our animals are our children so if we care about them we need to take care of them like we do children.

Be a responsable pet owner!

Seems like common sense to me. Pets are children, in that they don't have the ability to reason for themselves. I know that I shouldn't eat a whole bottle of aspirin, but does a three year old know that? No. And a dog or cat or other pet doesn't know it either.
And don't foprget to put away knives and sharp objects. Keep power cords out of reach of your children and your pets. And remember accidents are not the dogs fault its the owners so smack yourself in the nose with the newspaper.
My dog and cats are my children and my house is med. proof. Thanks for the info though.
Your pic of a doberman is beautiful.
I agree.
It's something that shouldn't even need to be said, but good reminder, cause obviously people don't always think..

Not sure why, but people just act like dogs just plain won't ever get into something.. Maybe they will live their entire life and not touch something dangerous, but it only takes once...

I agree! An ounce of prevention and all that .... could saveyou a hefty vet bill or a pet's life.

Very nice Dobie. Looks very much like one that I fostered, named Jasmine. She could "sit pretty", and I still have a photo of her doing it.
