Y do dogs chace there tails
hehe, not to be a stickler, but I believe you meant to ask, "Why do dogs chase their tails"? (It hurts me to see our youth spelling things incorrectly, its a sign that we're letting them become illiterate).
Anyway, my dog chases his tail when he gets really excited, and wants to show off.
After the first few times I saw him do this, I actually taught him to do it on command, but saying "get your tail" when he was doing it on his own. Now, all I have to say is, "get your tail" and he will do it. he loves it!!! it's a hoot!
For fun.
And it probably itches.
My dog can catch hers stump of a tail. (Although many dogs can I believe)
They chase there tails because they think it's something to play around with.
Cuz they can and there's probably nothing better to do. Buy him a few more toys and play with him a lot. He probably needs a longer walk every day.

Thay are bored and find it amusing! My dog does it ALL the time!
Because they are so dumb they do not realize that their tails are actually part of their bodies! Or perhaps they do know and they do it for our amusement! Hmmm

They chase their tails to let out energy just like when we run or get hyper.
They probably have an itch, or they don't realize it's attatched to their body & decide to chase it t see what it is.
