Yesterday after my child pulled my dogs ears and tail and slapped him on the back 100 times2007-11-25 2:57:09

my dog growled at him. Why did he growl. I feel he is untrustworthy now. Should I take this beast to the shelter or leave him outside with one giant pan of water and food, or keep him in the kennel all day then complain when he potties inside there?

Get a new KID ! Find the poor dog a new better - home one that will love him enough to teach their child right from wrong. You have to teach love it doesn't come naturally
