What are you basing the "most popular" on? In what time frame? Are you going by the breed that was purchased or adopted the most during a specific year/decade/era? Are you basing your thesis on what an online community has decreed as their favorite breeds and compiling a study based on your results?
Your instructor will be asking these questions as well.
