The dog does not understand the living arrangements. He has limited reasoning. Give the dog the space. Your son can comprehend-the dog can not.
i have never heard of them by that name, I live in queensland and we call them blue cattle dogs. they do have a tendency to nip but with the right training you could minimise this
I currently own 2 heelers and have them for over 10 years now. training for them is different and understanding them is different also. If your son or daughter in law come in the room and your dog is near just simply send him out of the room or take an extra precaution and give him a command before someone reaches out for you. or try keepin a leash on him so you can catch him before anything happens. good luck
