Poodles, bichon frises, schnauzers, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Shih tzu, and many poodle mixes are all low dander producing dogs.

Even hairless dogs can cause allergies since it's their dander, not their hair, that most people are allergic to.

I've heard that poodles and shih tzus don't bother people too badly. I can't remember the other ones, I hope someone else has more.

the only one i can think of is a poodle.

they have hair as opposed to fur so people are less likely to be allergic to them.

poodles. Poodles don't shed, and they don't seem to affect allergies. One of our two dogs is a toy poodle. She is strictly a house dog. My middle son as asthma, my husband has pet hair allergies, and neither of them have any problem with her. :-)

Go to the local animal shelter! There are millions on innocent animals out there needing a good family!

I suffer bad allergies but they don't seem to act up around my miniature pincher. Here is a link that gives you pictures and some great info on them.
