If your dog is small, get a large stuffed toy from the thrift shop, split it open and de-stuff it, and clip and shape it to fit your dog.. I won first place with my dog as a lamb!

A child's sleeper always works (also many at thrift shops) and you can easily put bunny or cat ears on your dog, made out of the feet that you removed from the sleeper..

big bandanas and sunglasses are always funny..with or without a beanie with ear holes cut..

WE use kids or doll clothes..also blankets can be used to make ghost costumes, pumpkins (orange), vampire (black).you can make a hotdog with a yellow one and just put some ketchup (red) hairspray down the middle.

get some fabric and make a tutu out of it

get some felt and cut it into zig zags in a circle put some bells and pompoms on it this would make a cute jester
