Yes they are if you train them right. They just get a bad rap because you've got so many people out there training them to be aggressive. Otherwise they are very loving protective animals. I know because I use to own a pit bull, unfortunately he passed away.

Absolutley awsome dogs! I own a 2yr.old Pitbull. He is the most loving, people friendly-social, hyper-playful dog I've ever had!

He loves people, strangers, other animals-everything and does not make a very good guard dog..lol.

It really angers me the misconceptions of this breed.

It angers me about the selfish acts of people useing this breed and other breeds (not just pitbulls) for fighting. It is all how you raise ANY dog!!

.any dog can be mean and harmful if mis-treated of poorly raised.

As far as turning on a master-that's result of being mis-treated by their owner-again ANY dog can do this!
