are the dogs jealous of a new born baby2007-11-25 2:59:00

hi ,i have 2 dogs ,a sheep dog age 11 and a lortcher age 2 ,and i have a babe is coming along.The dogs living inside the house all this years ,and i would like to know if the dogs will do any arm to the new babe ,im worried because i dont know if they'll coupe with the new changes in the house.but they are spoiled dogs.

Will the dogs give any kind of sickeness,alergeis,problems to the babe.Dogs they never went to the VET before ,and i feed them everyday ,but the eat,eat and eat ,and if i try to keep them outside in the back yeard they bark and winning if i dont breing them in .

i would like a honest anwser because i do love the dogs . thank u

Yes, they can be. My mother has often told me about my dad's German Shepherd. My dad had lived with his parents before he got married and the dog was like his baby. When I was a few days old, my parents took me to my grandparents' house. They all went into the kitchen and, when they returned, they saw that I wasn't where they had left me. The dog had taken me to the garden and was shaking me.

i luv dogs, too! i think the older dogs ar sometimes a little not happy with the new dog beacause of it stealing its teritory, for ex: i have 2 dogs one is a babe and the other is an older male dog and the older male dog was just so good until the day we came home with our new puppy. he started growling, but its only been a week.

well it really depends on how close you and your wife are to the pets if you are like the mom and dad yes they will go through a point of jealouse. the reason is because they are use to you being there for them and when baby comes you will be giving all your attention to him or her . i really hope everything works out and congrats on new baby.

just observe the behavior-most dogs get snooty, then come to accept baby-as for allergies or sickness, time will tell
