my neighbors dog barks all night, they are night owls and are too busy to care or notice the barking. The dog is in a cage about 20 feet from our house on the side of our bedrooms, i have a 2 year old 10 year old and not to mention a husband that has to be up at 5:15 to go to work. I have call and asked them to check on the dog and they just get pissed off at us (me). How should i handle this problem? PLease help. Im still trying to keep thuings calm with the neighbors too.

Dogs barking is classed as noise pollution, and if it is during the hours of darkness, this is also classed as noise pollution during unsocaible hours - The only thing you can do (legally) is to call the police and get them to sort it out - You are perfectly within your rights to do this!!

Write a letter to them, Try calling animal control, call every day! they are disrupting you household. Too bad if they are PO'd My neighbors did this also. I wrote an anonymous letter to my neighbor also, stating that the dog is barking and disrupting our lives and please do something or we will have to take further action RE contact the city or county etc..

i would call the non-emergency police number and ask them how they want you to handle the problem. They will know better than anyone what the steps you need to take are!
