if its sick

Answers:

Here's a site with some common otc meds that are ok for an otherwise healthy dog. You would not want to use them long term, but are ok until you can get to a vet.

I would not recommend it - I d give my dog Kaopetate or a small aspirin but I certainly would check with my vet first
I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that you should take your dog to the vet if it's sick. Human medicine is for humans!
It depends on what kind of meds you are talking about. You should ALWAYS consult w/ your vet before giving your dog anything even if you think it is safe for the dog.
NO. Giving human medicines to animals can kill them or make them sicker. Contact your vet or animal hospital.
Always consult your veterinarian (you can call them to ask if the drug is poisonous or toxic). Many are toxic to ahimals (in human amounts or at all) including tylenol, aspirin (vet recommended dose only), ibprofen, cough syrup, and others. Moral: ALWAYS check with your VET!
They have been known to test medicines on dogs. I would not do it because you might give them the wrong dose.
no it is toxic to their symptoms and is too high in dosage
what are the symptoms, yes some human stuff very good for dogs, i have a 10 week old puppy that has just had a nasty fever, i gave it 2.5 ml of calpol to bring the fever down. milk of magnesia settles stomachs. your vet will tell you what an what dosage.
NO!
We give our dog aspirin when she is experiencing pain in her joints and we also give her glucosamine/chondrotin for her joints (she has arthritis). She also has a heart murmur and a thyroid problem and she gets dog medicine. Don't fool with major health issues. Contact your vet first.
not really without the advice of your vet first to make sure your dogs ok with it. the only medicine i use without seeing the vet is benlyn for kennel cough.
I don't think it would be a good idea. That's why we don't take hem to our own doctors and why they have vets. Animals need different medicine and in different doses than a human, it would be unsafe to give them something if you are not sure exactly what the problem is.
