*did you guys know*
my dogs sleep in the kitchen, i bought a fence because they pee inside when we are asleep, anyways..my kitchen floor would always feel greasy. everymorning i would clean their pee & poo, they got the habit of doing it directly on the floor, so i have to clean it every morning but yet it would still fell graesy, the other day as i was cleaning, after i dryed up the spot were they pee i touched the floor..it was so greasy, i realized that their pee its really greasy, i literally have to scub really good the floor for it to go come out of the tiles, isnt that weird?
Answers:Well, I have raised dogs for 38 years, since I married in 1968, and my spouse had a kennel..I have never known that their pee was greasy! But, it makes sense, that is why you can get it all out of the carpet, but months later, there appears a dark spot..
Have you considered training your dogs so they don't poo and pee all over your floors?
Yes, very weird.
Believe me I know what you are talking about!! I usually go over the floor 3 or 4 times to make sure I get all residue out.
whoa, tell the vet incase that is bad
i wouldnt think that was normal. it should be pretty much like water. maybe there is a coating on the tiles that you're feeling. either that, or you need to take a sample to the vet. its just urine, it shouldnt contain grease
Try putting newspaper down when you go to bed at night, then in the morning all you have to do is roll the paper up and throw it away and the greasy feeling is gone. I have a Pomeranian and we have to keep her in the kitchen at night because she does the same thing and we always put some paper down for her and she goes on the paper.
Ewwwww..
the reason for the grease is probably the type of food they eat. dog food companies put oils in the food to help the dogs coat shine.
Some dogs don't adapt to outside training until their late age. If you take them outside about 3 to 4 times a day it can help them. If that doesn't work try a dog box. All it is, is a litter box but for dogs. Those are used for dogs that don't adapt to the outside. Their pee could be greasy because of the food that they are eating. But that is not always the case. If dogs get too many treats they can also have very greasy pee. It also might just be the type of dog that you have. I suggest that you do some research on your dogs breed. Your local library may also have some books on your dogs. If you are out of luck with that, talk to your vet the next time you go. Another thing to do is get them a cage, make sure that it has a pan in the bottom. The pan will be much easier to clean up. And then you won't have to feel that on your floor. I suggest now that you go out and get Dog Carpet Cleaner until you get more info. It will help with a black stain that may appear in a couple monthes.
Crate them at night..most dogs will not pee where they have to lay in it.then you will not have to worry.
u should try putting them in a cage at night(if big dogs seperate cages.) and put sof beds in the cage and a toy and paper so then while you sleep they can go when you are asleep and u won`t ahveta worry about them going on the kitchen floor!
My puppy has recently urinated on the kitchen floor , and I can assure you IT IS NOT GREASY. Not at all. Not in the slightest.
Could it be the tyoe of flooring, or the cleaner???
My dog does not have greasy pee.
Crate Train, Crate Train, Crate Train. it's not that hard!
