Are you talking about the killing of stray animals by "shelters"? Yes, I do think it's cruel. But what is the solution? They can't stack the animals on top of each other. The shelters become full very quickly. No-kill shelters have a limit to how many animals they can hold. Until people are responsible in spaying and neutering their animals, the shelters will continue euthanizing strays.

It depends on your reasoning. There are people who put animals to sleep because they no longer want them or they are an inconvenience to them. I think that is terribly wrong. But then there are those who struggle over putting their animals to sleep because they are sick and old and dying slowly and painfully. Sometimes it can be merciful for us to put them down, even though it breaks our hearts.
