my puppy is 12 weeks old never had any shots but we bought one of the 8n1 shots from the feed mill , it came with one vile of stuff thats like clear and another vile of stuff thats a yellowish color and thick and doesnt move if you turn the capsule upside down it says canine dystemper and some other stuff on it

my uncle does the shots but he wont be in until a few weeks and puppy is getting old and needs his shots

where do we shoot him at and how?? anyone know?

Well, you mix the liquid with the pawder (yellow stuff) and draw it into the needle. You then bunch up the puppy's skin (makes it easier on them) and inject it either behind their necks or on their hips. Wherever you prefer.

Make sure the powder and liquid are mixed thouroughly and that there is NO air in the syringe. Its best to let a vet do it if you are inexperienced.

I would never take a chance and give my dog shots. I always go to the vet, because he knows what is best for my dog.

Sometimes dogs have bad reactions to shots, get sore also in the shot area, and sometimes they get a bump there.

Easiest way for the pup is to pull up the skin on the neck and inject into there. This is where Mom carried them so there is little feeling in that area so it's less painful to the pup. Make sure you are through the skin though when injecting, some dogs can have tough skin to get through.

If you're worried about hurting him, I'd take him to the vet and ask them to do it. If you bring your own medicine, they MIGHT mix it for you and do it for free. You'd have to call and ask, but you never know UNTIL you ask.
