I'm going to take a "wild guess",and say that "Long Haired" Dogs shed hair during the summer months to keep cool. I think the reason hair is all over the house,is because it is falling off the dog,wherever it walks or lies down. Get a good,strong hair brush at the pet store,and start brushing it's hair daily. This will eliminate hair everywhere. You don't want it on your furniture. (Good Luck)

Yorkies do shed (all dogs shed) but they will not drop hair all over the place like a smooth coated (ie..Lab) or a double coated (ie Husky) breed would.

Yorkies need daily combing and regular grooming.every 4-6 weeks max or their hair will get matted.
