im trying to get a puppy for my grandma but it needs to be a really small dog that doesnt mind not getting exercised alot and doesnt bark alot ..it also needs to be like under 600 dollars.any ideas

WE DONT WANT TO GET A DOG FOM THE POUND (not that there is anything wrong with that) its just that we want her to have a new puppy

POUNDS ARE LOOKING FOR GREAT OWNERS SO WHY NOT TRY THERE AS IT IS ONLY GOING TO BE PUT DOWN SOONER OR LATER.

So get a puppy from the pound. You may literally be saving a life. I bet if you check there, you'll find that there are several puppies to choose from.

Poms and Pugs are a pretty good choice but do please be sure that your grandma is up to the task of raising a puppy. Puppies require a great deal of work in the first few months so you'll want to be sure that she's willing to do what's necessary.

As for pounds, the typical animal shelter tends to keep a lengthy waiting list of adopters looking for puppies and they tend to be at a premium. Still, check out your local shelter's website just in case. Far from simply offering dogs and cats to the masses, your local animal shelter is an amazing resource for pet owners, grievers and potential adopters and they might be able to recommend a breed that nobody here has thought of.
