To find a good red asain it will run you into the thousands of dollar range.

Even small ones are over 5000.

if your in the usa, you really should look into other species, like jardini arowanas.

These are the nicest Arrowana in the world. $700 for a juvenile is cheap. I hope you plan on getting at least a tank that's 10'L x 4'D x 3'H 900 gallons or hopefully larger in the next couple of years. They were selling lower quality ones in Canada in the low $2,000 range. I'm not sure where you're located though getting this into the US will be diffilcult due to CITES and that $700 may just be thrown out. If the fish has a chip and all of the documentation you have a chance though spend a lot of time with customs to make sure everything is ok and they will allow this fish's importation.
