Black moor problems PLEASE HELP2007-11-24 23:10:18

Hello my black moor goldfish is floating at the bottom of the tank...(bowl) and i need to try and help him because he is still alive. He is missing a fin and me and my mom put him in a bowl and are wondering if it is fin rot.what can we do!!??BTW HE IS STILL ALIVE!!

In this situation there is not much to do. Seek professional help... even if you just pop into a pet store. In my advice, I think your fish may be beyond help. Sorry.

well in assuming your still in elementry school

since your words are contradictive

"floating on the bottom"

but your fish still might be saved

go to your local pet store and get medication recommending for healing fin rot and and make sure the bowl is being filtered or aerated and do water changes every week 10-20 %but there is no guarantee that your fish will ever grow back its fin if the illness has reached the base of the fin the fin is done for
