Black moor staying at bottem of tank
Black moor staying at bottem of tank2007-11-24 23:10:19
My black moor has been treated with aquatium salt to help white streaks on his fins. The color is now coming back. Now he is staying at bottem of tank. Wont eat and will move if you nudge with fish net, but then goes back to botttem of tank.
Answers:too much of anything is bad
if your fish seems back to health then start reducing the treatment of salt
i always use salt always its increases electrolytes for better gill function and color i put have the recommended dosage per gal
and test the water if anything might be wrong
Stop treating him with that salt, he could have some kind of bad reaction to it. Change the water in the tank, and if you have a filter clean that too. If all has been cleaned, the salt treatment stopped and he still is at the bottom of the tank, there is almost nothing you can do. I guess you can take it to the vet if you are very strongly attached to it, but There is nothing they can do either. Make him comfortable, give him some treats and hope for the best. Then again, heat is mostly generated from the bottom of the tank, so mabye he is just cold. Who knows? Good Luck!!
