Black vs gold snails

Black vs gold snails2007-11-24 23:10:19

I just discovered that I adopted snails with my plant and a young lady suggested that black are bad and gold are good. She said that the gold ones are the mysterious snails, but I thought the mysterious snails were dark in color. I would like a few more opinions or facts about this statement. It turns out that the snails I adopted are black. should I get rid of them and if so would it be okay to take them to a lake?

Answers:

their are black and gold mystery snails, our wal*mart sella both...so I don't think their bad.

Do not take them to a lake! If they are not native to the area, they can cause an unbelievable amount of environmental problems. Take them back to the store they came from or give them away.

Personally, we have had black and gold snails and had no probs with either.

theres all the same species, if you let them breed you will have lots of colored snails such as red yellow gold orange etc.
no dont get rid of any snail just leave them where they are or gave them away, but dont put them in a lake they'll might reproduce and makes billions of baby snail and that can be a big problem, and no they do not have baby snails that will have orange or anything you'll just gonna get more black and yellow snails
The black ones are black mystery snails. The gold ones are probably gold inca snails.
