You will need to use stress coat. This is a water condition bu it will help the slime coat. You will need to help protect the DG as it is missing some scales. That makes it very susceptable to diseases and paracites.
So you must keep the water very clean and then added slime coat.

It sounds like dwarf gourami disease. Or just the fact that gourami quality has gone down a lot in recent years. My Gourami had the same thing but I put him in a hospital tank and added melafix for a couple of weeks and he has been fine since.
