Breeding Fish, I think
What does it look like when goldfish breed. I have 2 goldfish and they are acting a little oddly. I dont know how to sex fish so i can tell if one is a female and the other is a male. They are constantly swimming and brushing against each others stomaches and following closley behind the other fish near the rear. I just want to know if they will reproduce so i can prepair. I hope for babies. Wish me luck. And if anyone knows anything about taking care of baby goldfish i would like if u post it here.
Thankz 2 everyone who helps me.
P.S. If you put the most info and websites you wil probly get chosen as BEST ANSWER.
Answers:goldfish will not reproduce in an inside tank. if they are in an outside pond then the will. but the common goldfish will not inside i have had them for years and no babies sorry
I haven't ever bred goldfish. I have bred angelfish, which is why I took a peek at this question. After reading it, I had to post a comment.
Your "P.S." is insulting. Most folks that answer a question are doing so to share information, and do so with an open heart, willing to help others. A 'bribe' of best answer for the one that helps the most just cheapens the feeling we get from helping someone. I'm not here to 'earn points'. I'm here to interact and share information. Most truly helpful people on Yahoo!Answers share this point of view.
People don't always help someone because they expect something in return. Sometimes, they do it because it's the right thing to do.
That does sound like breeding behavior to me, but you would only see it in fish over a year old and then rarely until they hit about 2 years old. Unless you prepare the tank in advance, you will probably not see any eggs, as they will get quickly eaten if not protected.
