CAN SOMEBODY IDENTIFY my fish2007-11-24 23:10:49

It's a small not a fancy fish. It has a black tail & fins(At the bottom it has 2 little ones & one wide ). On the back of it's spine the black fin kinda stands more up.On both sides of it's ''chicks'' there is like long black triangles(not big).The body is pretty shiny.

Thats a bala shark

If this is the fish you are talking about i hope you know how big they get. Bala sharks can grow to 12-14 inches. So they need a pretty large tank when they reach full adult size.

if its a small fish it could be a black skirt tetra,or a black phantom tetra or a parasuay tetra. between the dorsal fin and tail fin is there a tiny little fin? this would at least identify it as a tetra.
