Can 2 betta fish live in the same bowl
Can 2 betta fish live in the same bowl2007-11-24 23:10:24
because, ive had my Betta fish since September, and we'd like our lonely fishy since Septemeber, and we asks if 2 betta fish could live together at the petstore were we bought them and they said no. But is that true??
Answers:2 males will kill eachother if in the same tank. They will also stress themselves out if they can see eachother so do not place them within sight of another for too long.
Female bettas will live together very well and can live with males BUT one or more may be killed as male bettas are VERY territorial with bettas.
There are many other fish bettas can live with but bettas do tend to be 'picked on' and have their fins bit off.
I heard at one time that if you put 2 betta fish in the same bowl that they will fight for death. They fight just to show power of one another... So if I were you I would put them in separate bowls...
nope. they will kill each other.
No, they cannot. Beta's are chinise fighting fish. However, I know at Petsmart, you can buy special plastic "aquarium" like tanks, that have a seperator down the middle, so it looks like they are in one tank together, but really arent.
My friend owned two betta fish and did not think they belonged in the same bowl so she bought two and put them next to each other. (the bowls were actually square-ish)
