Is It possible for a fish to Suffocate? I mean...they're underwater and everything-so maybe not becauze they don't exactly breath air anyway..but still, Is It possible? Or a least what do you think the answer Is? Thank-you.

Fish can suffocate because they get oxygen from the water. If the water does not have enough air in it they die from suffocation[ (2) above.]

i think the fish can suffocate if not in water or if they are in plastic wrap with no water in it. ok thats just cruel! but that is the only way i think a fish can "suffocate" =)

Yes, if put in a plastic bag or improper container where it can not get sufficient air.

yes they can it depends on what kind of fish that u get and what if they need a another air supply or not and the water that u put in the tank has air in it there no way of escaping air it's all anourn and eveywhere

Obviously, they need the water to breathe or they would not need to live in the water. If you take them out of the water, they die; so isn't being out of water the same as suffocating to them?
