Can I keep mollies with guppies or tetras2007-11-24 23:10:40

I have a 10-gallon tank, and I am going to get 3 male mollies I think. Will the mollies be too aggresive to each other or to any guppies or tetras?

Yes. Mollies and Guppies will be good together. Most Tetras are peaceful, but if you are planning on keeping them with bloodfin tetras and black tetras that i wouldn't do it. these tetras are very aggressive and aren't peaceful like their family. they could harm guppies and mollies. wonderful! no i dont think they will be aggresive because both are livebearer freshwater fish that can usually get along, but don't listen to me because i really dont know much about these things.

No, Mollies are not an aggressive fish. Can usually keep them with any other fish. Some tetras however can be biters and fin rippers. Take care that the tetras don't rip the beautiful tails of the guppies.

i have mollies and guppies in the same tank. they are all community fish, so they won't harm your fish. mollies are peaceful fish and will fo nothing to harm your fish. mollies and guppies are livebearers so they're compatible. but im not sure about tetras. some tetras tend to be aggressive. so get some guppies they are easy to take care off. and they're pretty.

The thing with mollies is, is that they prefer slightly alkaline water to reach there best breeding potential and health where is guppies and tetra's do not. Yes they can live together but you will find the mollies eventually dieing.
