Can anyone give me info for hatching anglefish eggs
okay about a week ago i got 2 large anglefish now there were doing fine when i noticed eggs on the side glass of the tank now there not eating them or anything there really just protecting them not letting any other fish go by the eggs ...and i was wondering if there is anything i can do to help the eggs hatch please iam already getting a tank devider to keep the other fish away :)
Answers:if the eggs are fertile they will be a yellowish color and should hatch within 48-72 hours if they are infertile they will be white in color but no there is nothing you can do to help them hatch but angel fry are very hard to keep alive you have to have just the right water conditions and if they do survive feed them baby brine shrimp you can hatch your own or your local pet store has frozen ones so good luck oh one other things the parents will keep the other fish away they are very protective
Don't worry about it too much. Angelfish are cichlids and cichlids tend to have a good parental instinct. They'll take care of the eggs/fry and deal with whatever fish will try to eat them.
If you want, check out angelsplus.com or ask someone at aquariacentral.com they can help
Good luck!
