Can anyone identify my crayfish2007-11-24 23:10:28

I dont know what kind of crayfish i have, please identify it. The crayfish i cought was from a water way connected to the Clinton River. It Has orange on the tip of the claws. Please post pictures of the possible crayfish i might have.

If you are referring to the Clinton river in MI, then here is a site of the crayfish of MI. You will need to do your own searches with the scientific names to get good pictures of them. http://iz.carnegiemnh.org/crayfish/count...

Well, in doing a little research, it seems like it may be a rusty crayfish, which, if it is, is a very hated critter and they are doing all they can to rid the streams and rivers of this animal because it is not indigenous and it pushing out other native animals. You really need to post the picture so we can help you more. Here is a link to the Clinton River Watershed Council, who could probably answer your question for certain.
