Can goldfish change color
I have 2 goldfish and both are comets. One of them used to be black/silver in color and the other is regular orange. I've noticed the black/silver one's fin and whole body is changing color as he grows. The color now looks like its turning gold or orange. Do you think its normal?
Answers:Yes goldfish can change colors. I had one go from almost solid orange when it was a baby to a patchwork pattern as an adult! One thing to be aware of is if there are any white spots that look like little tufts of cotton, it's a fungus. Also, some fungus' are black and go around the edges of their fins. Plus there's always the dreaded "ich" which looks like sugar granules. If your fish get any of those you'll have to get a fungus treatment and follow the directions on the package. Good luck to you and your fish and take care!!
i'v never seen one do it before
I've never heard of this before, but I'm guessing it is not normal. Or maybe it is. IDK.
It was probably young and now as it grows it's becoming more of it's color. check with a local pet store.
I've had that happen...He started out orange and slowly turned completely white...He lived for years like that, so I'd says it's just something that happens occasionally.
yes it is normal.
