Can you keep Great pond snails as pets

I'm pretty sure you could if you keep there conditions right. They eat a lot of algae so I would suggest letting some Algae grow in your tank and also feed it Algae Wafers. They also eat rotting organic matter but i wouldn't recommend it. Great pond snails can live in water about 72-80F. But, if you want a bigger more easy to care for snail you should get an Apple snail they have a broader diet from carrots to green peas and also algae as well.

Apple snails are also very intriguing to watch.
