No, Males and Females can not be housed together. Males are very Territorial when it comes to Betta's and will end up harming/killing the females. The only time they are housed together is when breeding which takes conditioning to do and after they are done the female is taken out. Now you can keep female Betta's together if you have a large enough tank, but that is it no males.

Betta's can have problems with each other. Often times they will kill each other and fight a lot. If you put them in smaller tanks 1 each next to each other they will be fine. For breeding put onhe male in a female tank and hope for the best.

I really cant say 100% no,because yesterday i recived a shipment of 100 "femaeS" and about 40-60 of them are short tail males. Im seperating them now, but the fghts arent to bad.

But really it isnt recommended.

Yes, it will work out just fine. Keep the ratio of 3 females for 1 male. And be sure to give the female bettas plenty of hiding places from the male during mating season.

um no. the male will kill the females. My mom try it because she wanted me to breed them. But of course i had to nurse them back to health.
