generally i would set it up like a african cichlid.

Basically crushed coral for substrate.

To raise the hardness, also aquarium salt to the tank. As brackish is just a mixture of fresh and salt water.

You wont need to get anything special, no new filers etc... You can use the same equpiment as the freshwater tank.

i forgot the ratio of salt to freshwater water, i believe it is around 1.002 specific gravity, If you have a hydrometer then you can test the specific gravity.

Brackish water is very close to sea water and should measure at 1.012 on a salinity tester/hydrometer.
