Do goldfish and sweetheart parrotfish get along2007-11-24 23:11:14

I just bought a sweetheart parrotfish (about 1 and a half inch long, orange).and I have 3 Corys and one goldfish. D you think they will fight? I am new to this. Thanks

sweet heart parrot fish are tropical fish goldfish are cold water ,

they are better kept with semi aggressive fish as they can be aggressive not in all cases ,they get on well with fire mouth fish

Does a Cichlid get on with a goldfish..no, And you shouldnt have all those fish in the same tank, Goldfish are high waste producers and coldwater fish and a parrot fish is a tropical fish which requires totally diffrent requierments from the goldfish, Do you have a heater in the tank? You have to return the parrot because its not for your tank, And if your just new to this you really havent got off to a good start, You have to make your mind up if your'e keeping coldwater or tropical and get rid of one of them.

Aggression isn't the issue. The problem is that Parrot Cichilds are tropical fish (that require warm water) and Goldfish are coldwater fish (I think you can guess what kind of water they need...). By putting the Parrot in cold water, you are killing the Parrot. By putting the Goldfish in warm water, you are killing the Goldfish. You have to choose which one you would rather keep, and then research it so you know what you need to know about it. For any more help, email me at nosoop4u@cox.net.
