Answers:I have tried housing my several different bettas at different times with my African Dwarf Frogs and have had problems too. I have had issues with the frogs attacking the betta who aren't quite as resilient with their fragile fins. Keeping the ADFs properly fed is always an issue.
African dwarf frogs are notoriously slow eaters and unless kept in a species tank almost always need to be hand fed or separated from other fish in order to get enough food and stay big and fat like they are supposed to be. I have read of several different methods for feeding ADFs including the breeding compartment mentioned by an earlier poster. I have also heard some people will place a glass over them while they feed to keep other fish out. I personally use either an eyedropper or a pair of aquarium forceps to feed them. They learn to recognize them in a very short amount of time and will eventually come forward to feed. This method works very well but does require your daily attention. The most obvious and effective method, of course, it to keep them in separate tanks.
Seperate the betta from the frogs - put them in different tanks.
Betta fish are very territorial and your lucky he hasn't killed your frogs. My suggestion to you is to go to walmart and buy a bowl for your fish and keep the frogs separated from it. If you leave it like this too long the frogs will die. Hope this helps
Why do you have them all together? Take the betta out and give him his own bowl. (They are territorial and like small spaces -- all to themselves.) Let your frogs eat -- and live -- in peace.
Put another Beta fish in the tank. That should solve the problem.
SEPARATE YOUR FISH & FROGS
You could buy what is called a breeder box. It floats at the top of the tank and is used to keep baby fish safe from other fish when they are first born. You could put the beta in there at feeding time. Or you could leave it in there all the time. They don't need much space.
It's not the betta fish its you. Betta fish are meant to live in solidarity. If you want to have fish and frogs in the same tank, then get a different type of fish.
