Ok I just got 3 clown fish froma friend and we just bought a cleaner shrimp and put him in the tank and today we cant find him would there be a chance that the Clown fish ate him? Help

Cleaner shrimp can be extremely shy when they do not have others of the same type around them. Chances are he is clinging to the underside of a rock. If you pick up a rock and rotate it, he will simply keep moving to stay on the bottom of it. They can also fade colors when scared, making them harder to see.

Fish eat ANYTHING that can fit in there mouths. So if the shrimp can fit in there mouth, then yes, the clown fish ate them. And just incase you dont know, clownfish are saltwater fish, so i hope you dont have them in a freshwater tank.

Sorry to tell you but the chances that the shrimp was ate is a good one. If you can not find it and there are no places for it to hide from the other fish the possibility is good. You can check at your local pet fish place for fishes that can go with your clown fish that will not get eaten.

It's possible. How big was the shrimp? Is also possible it is just hiding until it gets used to the new environment. Also possible the move triggered an impending molt and the fish ganged up on him while he was soft. Or, he didn't adapt well and that killed him. Hang in there a little longer and check the ammonia levels, especially if the water starts to look milky.

It might be if the cleaner shrimp is rather small than the three clown fish..Or maybe yer tank has a rock in it and the cleaner shrimp had been stuck on the rock..just check everywhere.maybe you can find the shrimp.

The clown fish.. are they clown loaches (freshwater) or clown fish (saltwater)? The shrimp called cleaner shrimp are saltwater so I hope you are talking about a marine tank.
