My son had a goldfish, and he kept it up in his room, well my husband passed away, and we stayed at my moms for a week, and then slept downstairs in the living room for about a month, I forgot all about the poor thing, until one night I was laying there awake, I got up and and went upstairs figuring the poor thing would be dead, the fish bowl had about 1/2 inch of water left in it, but the goldfish, was swimming on it's side, because there was not enough water. I figured it was a gonner anyway, so I took it downstairs and just through it in my big fish tank, the next morning, he was alive and well. But it had turned from gold to black, maybe someone can explain that to me. And he had eaten the little fish I had in there.
