I know it says on the food label just to feed as much as it will eat in 2 minutes but it only about 3 of the worms, is that all they need?

Answers:

2-3 betta pellets a day as long as they are eatin within 20 minutes. Also, feed the betta a pinch of bloodworms sometimes. It will bring out the colors of your betta and make them healthy.

I normally feed mine a pinch of food in the morning and one at night. He doesn't even feed that little amount that he is given so not that much. (p.s. I use the fish flakes, they last a lot longer and it's easier to measure food amounts.)

If you are feeding once daily only about the size of his eye ball. With blood worms this is 3-4 worms. Ideally you should feed 5-6 days a week, and just judge how much food he needs by looking at his belly size.

PS- While blood worms are one of the best (if not the best) betta foods. There are things to consider. 1st over feeding with blood worms is more dangerous than most foods. 2nd it's not a balanced diet long term. I'd get a betta pellet, or flake and use it in 3 feedings. Personally I use brine shrimp, and blood worms with a veggie flake once a week. (Of course I have lot fish, and a lot of fish food.)
