How should I console my bf When he went to feed the fish, he discovered the great big angel was dead2007-11-24 23:34:53

It was his favourite, as it ate out of his hand. The fish didn't even appear ill the night before and suddenly it was dead.

Buy him another Angel, and have him keep his hands out of the tank. He may have changed the ph of the water if he had something on his hand.

Wow that's a shame. angels are great fish. but sometimes random fish death happens. its part of the hobby. ask anyone who has keep fish for a while these thing happen. my guess is that it might have been an old fish. (I'm going on the size here). it could have just been its time to go. in any case sorry for you loss. good luck

maybe buy him another fish..not an angel fish..(it would remind him of the other one and instead of being happy looking at him he would be sad)..or get him another pet completly..just make sure he isn't allergic to it.

You can console him by just being nice about it and not minimizing it. Sometimes simple things like he enjoyed with this fish, can hurt more than you expect. Loss is loss. Just be nice.
