I had 13 fishBut now i have only 3 fish leftWhy r they dying2007-11-24 23:36:09

I dont know why they die..

Answers:

one mistake people make when they get fish is that they (some, maybe not you) do not read enough about them. You really have got to read extensively. It is much more complicated then it looks. Read everything about you fish and get your tank as perfect as possible, it is well worth it.

-ps----if it is a new tank then you have to wait a month or two before you put any expensive fish in, put one ore two less expensive fish in to get the ecosystm going ( you can speed this up by buying biological boosters in petstores)

It might be that you need to put an anti-chlorine treatment in the water. Its cheap, just a few drops neutralize the chlorine thats added to water to kill germs. Unfortunately it also kills fish. Anyway, good luck!

if you dont have a filter or a heater that keeps it a good temperature the fish might not be able to stand it and pass away :((((((

first it depends on what fish you have. they could be very agressive or they could have a disease named after them like neons. you could also have a bacterial infection in the tank. if they act normally and havent lost or gained any color then they may just be aggressive and killed each other.

It probably is the water. I've been through about 2 dozen goldfish before finding out that temperature and ph lvls of water affect the fish.

And if all the above does not work.. Are you Diabetic? the insulin in your system will kill the fish if you touch the water (or inside of tank).

It largely depends on the fish type. Don't worry, if it's goldfish it's common to make mistakes, I know I made a lot when I inherited my first Goldie in a bowl.
