I have to dwarf gouramis, how do I know if they are trying to mate2007-11-24 23:35:35
The bigger one is constantly chasing the smaller one and rubbing up alongside. Is this a sign that he is trying to mate? how do I tell?
Answers:The dwarf gourami has diagonal turquoise blue stripes on their reddish orange body. The males are larger and more colorful than the females. The male becomes very brightly colored at spawning time. The male and female Gourami dance with each other in the breeding aquarium and the male will cup the female Gouramis body and wiggle next to her.
A
is one male and one female? if yes they are trying to mate.
WELL now;u do know they are male & female?? so if the answer is yes;my suggestion is get a couple more females before only one is left. When the male has built the bubble nest u'll observe more;get a book on this large variety of gouramis ;there is differnces.
