I have a 35 gal aquarium I do not have a heat element in it because the bullheads don't need it but what other kinds of fish can I put in there that the bullheads won't kill? Any suggestions other than getting rid of the bullheads (my suggestion but vetoed by hubby).

bullhead catfish willl get big and a 30 gallon isn't enough, i would get rid of them or buy them a bigger tank.
There are lots of fish that can go with bullheads. The problem is your tank size. Most fish that can co-exist with the bullheads will have to be big. Your 35 gal aquarium is probably not even enough for the 2 bullheads.
