I have always used elastic bands for the first few weeks without any problems. You could also place it in an area of low circulation under a mesh breeding box for live-bearing freshwater fish for a couple of weeks to give it time to attach without being blown off.
Go to "About.com" and follow their links to setting up a saltwater tank. They have a lot of info. I think you can even do a search for the type of coral you have.
They're actually spelled ricordea, but on to the point. As with most mushrooms I just place them where I want and anchor them with something heavy such as a rock or puncture them w/ a toothpick, depending on the size. Just take care not to totally cover the mouth.
