Add a bit of kosher salt (pure salt with no iodine or anything added) or salt for freshwater aquariums to protect the fish from an infection and speed up the healing and regrowth process.

people buy betas for their long flowing fins,,really pretty.yours will be fine.i bet he doesn't even notice it !!
I have one that was the same way, it was still really pretty and lived for about 5 years I think. So it should be fine.
betas are really agressive and fight to the death if put with other betas. it prob got in a fight
yeah as long as he swims fine he'll be fine. and their fins grow back if they're kept healthy
It's possible he has finrot, got into a fight, or it got torn on a sharp edge. Be sure to keep his water clean, and fresh. Avoid decorations with sharp edges. Often times pet store bettas live in such poor water conditions that they get fin rot. 95% of the time they recover once they are properly kept. If the fins continue to shrink you need to add melafix/bettafix, or an antibiotic.
