I thought I remembered reading something about there being a certain type of frog that could live underwater and you could put it in a bowl with fish such as betta fish. I'm not sure where I read this but can someone help me out? I don't remember what kind of frog it was or if it was even a frog in the first place. It might have been something else. Thanks.

I've people recommend dwarf african frogs. Just be sure to avoid the clawed version which will eat the betta. Personally I don't recommend any tank mate for a betta in tank 5 gallon, or smaller. Betta are territorial, and many won't put up with a tank mate other than a snail or 2. (Of course one of my betta is namre snail slayer for a reason.) In 10+ gallon tanks any peaceful non betta look fish will work. I'd avoid barbs, and large tetras as they tend to fin nip a betta.

PS- I'd reccomend a snail or cory cat fish.

ya there is umm i dont remember wat there called but you can get them at a pet store there like light light pink and look like naked mole rats exept there a frog. umm i let you know wat there called next time i see them.

You can keep dwarf african frogs with other tropical fish as long as the tank is heated and filered. african frogs get large and will eat smaller fish and should not be kept with smaller fish.

the pink ones are the albino african frogs. keep away from them if you want a community aquarium. Hands down the dwarf is the best.
