When you want two fish to breed, PUT 4 FEMALES AND 2 MALES IN THE BREEDING TANK. That way they can choose which guy they want to marry lol. Keep them there for a couple of days, until a female's stomach gets bigger (yeah, she'll be pregnant. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT keep the baby fish in with the mommy fish. When the mommy fish is prego, she's going to want to be left alone, and it is safer, so keep her in the breeding tank by herself. When it comes close to delivery time (I think it takes 3-4 weeks) put Miss Mommy in a breeder net. When she drops the fry (babies) they will swim down through the net and sit in the tiny net themselves. Take mommy out and put her back in the big tank about 1 hour after birth. Take fry out of breeding net and have them in the 10 gallon tank until they are half the size of the adults (3/4 to 1 in.) Feed them crushed flake food. Keep in mind, Mommy may die when she gives birth. The babies may all die the first few times Mommy gives birth. It takes practice to breed livebearers. And wait atleast 3 months after you get the fish to start sexing them, because they will be young. I don't suggest breeding guppies, they die easily. I think mollies and platies are better.
